Spokane Society of Internal Medicine

president's message 2017

Daniel T. Yang, President

Dr. Daniel T. Yang, PresidentIn the long history of Spokane Society of Internal Medicine, much has changed to the practice, culture and definition of the Internal Medicine discipline.  Personally, since joining SSIM in 2004, my own career metamorphosed from a potpourri of inpatient/outpatient provider, primary care and specialty consulting into a focused outpatient ambulist.  In this era of highly balkanized Internal Medicine practices, I believe that SSIM serves an ever more pivotal role in bringing our specialty together.  In March, our Annual Membership Dinner offers a cordial setting for much missed face to face professional interaction and fellowship.  We are webcasting the ACP meeting from Seattle again this November, a superb and well-reviewed educational forum for our members.  In addition, we are always welcome your suggestion, participation, and volunteering to and for the Society.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally, or our executive director, Jen Anderson.  Have an enlightening and rewarding 2017 and beyond, and see you at the SSIM events.

Daniel T. Yang, MD
